How to actually pay less for perfume
In rough order of how much they save you.

Compare before you buy. This is the single biggest lever: 30 to 40 percent between retailers beats almost any seasonal discount.

When do perfumes go on sale?

New launches almost never discount in their first year, so if a brand-new release looks cheap, check the seller carefully.
Are cheap perfumes online genuine?
From authorised retailers, yes. The risk is third-party marketplace sellers offering prices far below everyone else, which is the main channel for counterfeits. Check that the seller is the retailer itself rather than a marketplace vendor, and treat a discount much deeper than every other shop as a warning rather than a bargain.
Is it cheaper to buy a bigger bottle?
Almost always. Price per millilitre drops sharply with size, and a 100 ml bottle is typically 30 to 40 percent cheaper per ml than a 50 ml. Refills are cheaper again. The exception is a fragrance you are not sure about, since an opened bottle degrades after three to five years and a cheap 100 ml you never finish is not a saving.
